Terms of Service
The rules for using AI Pet Portrait (aipetportrait.ai): accounts, credits, free previews, physical products and how you may use your portraits.
Last updated: 2026-10-23
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AI Pet Portrait at aipetportrait.ai (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Wang Qi Yang trading as AI Pet Portrait, 68 King William Street, London EC4N 7HR, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. AI Pet Portrait is an independent service and is not affiliated with other sites using similar names.
1. The Service
AI Pet Portrait turns a photo of your pet into an AI-generated portrait in one of the available styles. Portraits are created by third-party AI image models and every result is different; we do not guarantee that a portrait will match your expectations or look exactly like your pet. That is why you can try free previews first.
2. Accounts
You need an account to generate portraits. You can sign in with Google or with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything done with your account. You must have reached the age of majority where you live to buy credits. One person may hold one account; creating extra accounts to collect more free previews is not allowed.
3. Free previews and credits
- Each account gets 2 free previews. A free preview is a 512px image with an aipetportrait.ai watermark.
- Credits are sold in one-time packs: Starter, 20 credits for $5.99, and Best Value, 80 credits for $14.99 (prices in US dollars). There is no subscription and nothing renews.
- One HD portrait (2048×2048 pixels, no watermark) costs 1 credit. Unlocking the HD original of a free preview costs 1 credit.
- The Best Value pack also adds a commercial use license to HD portraits created after the purchase (see section 5).
- Credits do not expire. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account and cannot be exchanged except as described in the Refund Policy.
- If a generation fails, the credit (or free preview) it used is returned to your account automatically.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
4. Your photos and your portraits
You keep all rights you have in the photos you upload. You give us a limited permission to store and process each photo only to create the portraits you ask for. We do not use your photos or portraits to train AI models.
Uploaded photos are deleted within 24 hours after the portrait is generated. Generated portraits are deleted 30 days after they are created, so download the ones you want to keep. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
5. How you may use portraits
Personal use — every portrait. You may use any portrait you generate for personal, non-commercial purposes: printing it for your home, giving it as a gift and sharing it on your own social media accounts.
Commercial use — with the Best Value pack. After you buy the Best Value pack (80 credits for $14.99), every HD portrait you generate or unlock from then on carries a commercial use license. It is shown next to the portrait. With it you may:
- sell prints, canvases, mugs and other merchandise showing the portrait;
- use the portrait to promote your shop, business or social media accounts.
The commercial license does not cover: licensing or selling the portrait to others for training AI models, or registering the portrait (or anything based on it) as a trademark. Pet & Me and Add pet to photo images show real people: whatever the license, any use of them, and especially commercial use, needs the permission of the people shown, and you are responsible for getting it. Portraits created before your Best Value purchase stay personal-use only — the license is not retroactive. If the purchase is refunded, portraits created after the refund are personal-use only again.
In every case you remain responsible for having the rights to the original photo you upload.
5a. Prints and gifts (physical products)
You can order physical products — such as mugs, prints, canvases, pillows, blankets and ornaments — made from a portrait in your account.
- Who makes them. Each item is made to order and shipped by our print partner, Printify, through its production facilities in the United States. We are the seller; Printify produces and ships on our behalf.
- Where. We ship to addresses in the United States only. Delivery times and details are in the Shipping Policy.
- Price and payment. The price shown includes standard shipping within the US. Sales tax, where it applies, is calculated from the delivery address and shown at checkout. Payment is taken by Stripe when you place the order. A discount shown to you is applied by us at checkout; promotion codes can't be combined with it.
- Your image and its position. We print the portrait in the position shown in the preview, including any changes you make with "Adjust position" (you can move and zoom it; rotation isn't offered, and zoom is limited so the print doesn't come out blurry). You confirm that you have the rights to the photo the portrait was made from, as described in section 4, and that any people shown agreed to it being printed.
- HD file included. A physical order includes the HD file of that portrait: if it was a locked free preview, it is unlocked for you at no extra cost once the payment is confirmed.
- Quantity. Up to 5 of the same item per order.
- Contract and cancellation. The order is accepted when we confirm it after payment. We may cancel and fully refund an order we can't produce or deliver. Because items are personalized, change-of-mind returns aren't offered; damaged, misprinted or lost items are reprinted or refunded as set out in the Refund Policy. This does not limit any rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
6. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: upload only photos you have the right to use, with a pet as the subject (in Pet & Me: you, or another adult who gave you permission; in Add pet to photo: people who agreed to the photo's use, with children only as the Acceptable Use Policy allows), and nothing illegal, sexual, violent, hateful or involving minors. We may refuse, remove or block content that breaks that policy, and suspend or close accounts that break it. Credits on an account closed for abuse are not refunded.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, by our providers or for reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove styles and features. If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new Terms.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The Service and all portraits are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
